Eric DeFeo

About

Eric DeFeo was born, raised, and continues to live and work in Garland, TX. His journey with Christ began in 1988 at a Young Life retreat. Eric says, “The seed of the Gospel was planted in the soil of my heart and began to take root. It was then and there that I surrendered my life to Jesus and chose to follow on whichever path He led.”

Eric has a Bachelor Degree in Art and Science, and Art Education. While completing his degree Eric started a landscaping and lawn care business, which he still owns and operates today - DeFeo’s Landscaping & Lawn Care, Inc. Eric has served in the church since 1991 through various roles, including deacon, drummer, VBS designer, grounds leader, youth worker, and small group facilitator. Two of his favorite outreaches are local mission trips and the men’s annual ski retreat.

Eric is married to Wendy DeFeo, who assists in the Children’s Ministry at Living Hope. Eric and Wendy have two children, Savannah and Harrison.

Eric has served as the Ministry Coordinator of Living Hope since 2014. Eric says, “I believe anyone willing to serve should be given a chance to give back to the church and help fill the needs of the church to improve our ministries. I love helping those wanting to serve to allow their gifts and talents to be used to further God’s kingdom.”

One thing people don’t know about Eric, is he loves to barbecue. (He’s really good at it too!)

Some of Eric’s favorite things are art, drums, travel, spending time with family, and serving at church.
