About

Justin Shields was born and raised in the Dallas area. He grew up in Carrollton and has lived in Garland and Rowlett since 2007. When he was nine years old, Justin attended a Vacation Bible School at Webb Chapel Baptist Church where he accepted Christ as Lord and Savior of his life.

Justin graduated from Mountain View Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. In addition to serving as Living Hope’s Media Director, Justin also works full-time at V3 Consulting Engineers as a Plumbing Designer. This company is a MEP engineering firm, where Justin helps in the design of plumbing systems in commercial buildings.

Justin is married to Leslie Shields, who is a Registered Nurse that works for Garland ISD. Justin and Leslie have two children, Alyson and Connor.

Justin has served on staff as the Media Director of Living Hope since December 2017. Justin says, “My main goal is to assist Living Hope in reaching out to our community to share the news of Jesus Christ. I also support people in our church through advertising ministry opportunities and upcoming events. God has kept me involved at Living Hope and passionate about this ministry, and it brings me great joy to see others come to know Him.”

One thing people don’t know about Justin, is he enjoys making things by hand, mostly woodwork. He also says, “At church, I really have no idea what I’m doing. Everything I do is by trial and error, plus researching it as much as I can on the internet. I just leave it up to God to steer me in the right direction and use the talents He gave me.”

Some of Justin’s favorite things are spending time with family, woodworking, learning new things on YouTube, and serving at church.
